SEACT is now accepting registrations to audition for the Student Company production of The Outsiders. This is a blended cast with roles for students AND adults! All actors wishing to audition must register online and sign up for a private audition appointment.
Description: This is the searing story of real kids in real situations with real consequences seen through the eyes of young Ponyboy. Territorial battles between the have-it-made rich kids — the Socs — and Ponyboy’s tough, underprivileged “greaser” family and friends are just a part of life. But even in the midst of urban gang warfare, somehow Ponyboy can’t forget a short poem that speaks to their fragile young lives. This heroic story of belonging, friendship, and maintaining hope in the face of struggle is a powerful reminder of what young people encounter every day. More information.

Suggested Ages: This is a blended student and adult production. Two small child roles (ages 6-9), Greaser and Soc roles (ages 14-23), and adult roles (ages 24+) are available. Listed age ranges are merely suggestions. You may audition for a role even if you are not within the exact suggested range. Actors of all experience levels and backgrounds are encouraged to audition!
Phase 1: Individual Appointments for Students (3 minutes) SIGN UP FOR A TIME SLOT HERE.
Phase 2: Group Auditions for Students and Adults
Audition Materials: For your individual audition, you should prepare a 30-45 second memorized monologue, preferably from a published play. You may choose any comedic or dramatic monologue from your personal repertoire or from the stock monologues provided HERE.

You only need to attend one audition. Those auditioning for the adult-only roles may skip the monologue auditions but will need to attend the group auditions.
