Description: Because of his shiny nose, Rudolph doesn't feel like he belongs in Christmastown and sets off to find a place that accepts him. Along his journey, he encounters fellow misfits, only to realize that home is where he has belonged the whole time. When a storm threatens to keep Santa's sleigh from taking flight, what makes Rudolph different turns out to be what helps him save Christmas! More information.
Audition Style:
Those auditioning for Elf Ensemble ONLY will participate in a group audition for the first 30 min and then be released. A private audition is not necessary. Young participants are also welcome to wait in the Banquet Hall if they have other family members auditioning.
All other participants will be put into groups and rotate between learning a brief cut of choreography, and having a private audition with the director and music director.
For private auditions: Auditionees will perform one song and one monologue from the provided list for the director and vocal director. Memorization is encouraged but not required. Audition material will be posted soon.
Participants only need to come to one audition day unless you are called back on the 29th. If you are needed for a callback, you will be contacted by the Production Manager via email.
Cast List:
The cast list will be posted within 48 hours of the final audition at SEACT.com and on SEACT's social media pages. You are expected to check the cast list and report to the first read-through on Thursday, October 1 at 6:30.
Schedule:
Rehearsals typically take place Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 and Sundays from 2:00-5:00. Additional rehearsals will be added closer to show week that cannot be missed.
All conflicts between October 1 and December 5 must be provided at registration. Adding additional conflicts after casting is grounds for reduced stage time or dismissal from the production. Conflicts do not mean you will not be cast, but they might affect how you are cast.
Actors of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply!
Parent/legal guardian must provide consent for any participant under the age of 19.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Any students between the ages of 7 and 12 years old that are cast must have a parent or guardian on site at all rehearsals.
